play
explorations, imaginations, experiments

“… When any real effect is produced, it is not because of the beating and the hammering, but because an inspiration slips down between the raising of the hammer and the falling and gets in under cover of the beastly noise. …”
-Sri Aurobindo, Letters on Poetry and Art
As I transition from the realm of practice and process to the world of artistry, I remain committed to exploring more authentic inspiration. I strive to create a world I would love to inhabit. I aim to evoke the same sense of wonder that I feel amid color, light, pattern, and movement—a magical realm of limitless possibilities.
My visual aesthetic is abstract, organic, colorful and tends towards the minimal. I enjoy the finer details and the global allure of this wonderland. Through multimedia experiences, I hope to witness the audience lose their limited sense of self to a larger whole for a while. Be it through spatial installations, immersive visual and light play or meditative soundscapes.
In my artistic endeavor, I play and explore the joy that uniquely emerges from creation. You will find here a mix of self-initiated projects, prototyped concepts, and ideas experimented with.
2017 Pondicherry, India / Multimedia Experience
An audio-visual performance exploring new ways of performing live music.

project overview
Concerts and music performances are no longer only about the music – rather an immersive experience that mystifies the audience. The audiovisual composition engages two senses simultaneously, effectively drawing the audience in, and enabling them to better connect to the performance. The innovative ways adopted to perform music urge the audience to wonder at the possible applications of technology.
The challenge was to showcase technology and incorporate it into a musical story-telling. The story about ‘The Finding’ was something that emerged out of our live jams and rehearsals. It seemed to have distinct chapters, and we wove a plot line around it. The chapters were not so much fully composed pieces as different soundscapes with different visual and sonic atmospheres.
Chaos in String Theory
2018 Florida, USA / Digital Art
A generative art piece presented at Digital Graffiti 2018 in Florida, USA. Won the Curator’s Choice Award.

project overview
This set of real-time generative visuals dwells on the duality between waves and particles of light. Randomly generated turbulence trigger parameters such as colour, chaos, and scale. These compositions trace the journey of light through the spectrum of underlying forces in entropy. Maintaining harmony through central symmetry, the kaleidoscopic patterns hypnotize audiences into a feel-good trance.
