Aura Digital explored the translation of conversations and emotions into digital artworks. Inspired by a memory globe and Harry Potter’s Pensieve, they conceived of a data visualization that captured conversations.

Looking to prototype their concept, they brought me on board to translate their ideas and mood boards into a working model that they could play with and further experiment with in TouchDesigner. Working with Nvidia Flow allowed me to create smoke effects.

The team used AI to extract emotions from a recording of the conversation into a dataset. This dataset was then read by the prototype. I then created visual presets associated with each emotion. Additionally, these visual elements reacted to the playback of the conversation.
